We are doomed.. Run for your lives. The climate is changing....

so what? Nothing will be done during our life times. The solution is shutting down China and India's economy and encouraging nuclear technology world wide. You can't feed 6 billion of us with windmills. You can't get to work on a horse any more, and few people will will drop dead to make you feel better about the climate changes "supposed" to be coming within the next century or so. The solutions are too politically and physically impracticable. (Such as windmills covering Massachusetts coast or giving third world despots reactors..) Who are these people kidding?

Well, well. Some “climate expert” on “The Weather Channel” wants to take away AMS certification from those of us who believe the recent “global warming” is a natural process. So much for “tolerance”, huh? I have been in operational meteorology since 1978, and I know dozens and dozens of broadcast meteorologists all over the country. Our big job: look at a large volume of raw data and come up with a public weather forecast for the next seven days. I do not know of a single TV meteorologist who buys into the man-made global warming hype. I know there must be a few out there, but I can’t find them. Here are the basic facts you need to know: *Billions of dollars of grant money is flowing into the pockets of those on the man-made global warming bandwagon. No man-made global warming, the money dries up. This is big money, make no mistake about it. Always follow the money trail and it tells a story. Even the lady at “The Weather Channel” probably gets paid good money for a prime time show on climate change. No man-made global warming, no show, and no salary. Nothing wrong with making money at all, but when money becomes the motivation for a scientific conclusion, then we have a problem. For many, global warming is a big cash grab.

Back on track at Pokerstars.....

Back to my winning ways. The droughts over. Back to 1 million, seven hundred thousand +. After several months of mediocre results, I'm back.

I just needed to get back to betting and raising correctly. Play premium cards and bet them to the hilt. Raise or fold.

Found this on digg / News . Reminds me of some of my dad's relatives for some reason:
Woman wants kids back after social worker marries ex A woman says she was persuaded to give up custody of her four children by a social worker who secretly dated and later married her ex-husband. More ...

How government works.....It is what it is ......

I think our government works very well. It works for whom ever pays to control it. Only influence we have is our vote. Our vote is controlled by what we believe to be correct. What we believe to be correct is controlled by our media. The media is controlled by corporate interests. We vote because we are convinced by  corporate interests to do "what's right" or noble.  Who controls the "media"?
And as we’ve seen from our elected officials in Washington, they’re no different from most national politicians. They reward their friends (the people who help them get elected) and punish their enemies (the people who support their opposition in an election). It’s not personal, it’s just business. There’s a lot of money to be made controlling the levers of government, and thus it attracts the sort of people who are willing to use government to enrich themselves (or their friends). It’s only rarely that we have stories like that of William “Cold Cash” Jefferson, but none who watch government can realistically claim that slightly less egregious (and often completely legal) affairs don’t go on every day.

My kind of story...

Been all over with poker the last few weeks. Needed a break. Too many bad beats. Still ahead, though. On the other hand, I love true stories that prove I ain't got it so bad.  You got to read this to believe it. Actually you would have to be there to believe it.  Found this on Digg News:
Twenty-three people were trapped in a cave for nearly twelve hours on New Year's Day, when a twenty-five-stone (a really big bitch) woman got stuck in a small cave known as the 'Tunnel of Love'. More…

WE should live so long..

Happy New Year

Friday the 13th, 2029

On April 13, 2029, asteroid 2004 MN4 will fly past Earth only 18,600 miles (30,000 km) above the ground. For comparison, geosynchronous satellites orbit at 22,300 miles (36,000 km). "At closest approach, the asteroid will shine like a 3rd magnitude star, visible to the unaided eye from Africa, Europe and Asia--even through city lights," says Jon Giorgini of JPL. This is rare. "Close approaches by objects as large as 2004 MN4 are currently thought to occur at 1000-year intervals, on average." Read more here
